2019 is the UK P&I Club’s 150th Anniversary and the Club is marking the year with three initiatives: enhancing safety at sea, protecting seafarers and the environment. The Club’s “Investing in a Safer Tomorrow” competition aims to make shipping safer by challenging students and young mariners to suggest improvements to any element of safety at sea. The Club’s charitable giving is focused on seafarer wellbeing with the Mission to Seafarers through the WeCare programme – a global training initiative aims to address rising levels of stress among seafarers brought on by financial pressures and the misuse of social networking platforms. The Club has also supported ‘Ocean Sole’, a Kenyan social enterprise focusing on marine conservation.

Thomas Miller is an international provider of market leading insurance services. The mutual insurance portfolio includes the management of the UK P&I Club, TT Club and ITIC and businesses such as Thomas Miller Claims Management and Brookes Bell, the leading International Marine Consultancy in the Professional Services sector.
